Yale Day of Service 2016: Ruffin Canyon Park @ Ruffin Canyon Park

The Yale Club of San Diego is again joining the Yale Community around the world in participating in the Yale Day of Service.

Join us at Ruffin Canyon Park in Serra Mesa along with Friends of Balboa Park and the City Parks and Rec Department as we clean and restore habitat areas. The work will not be be very strenuous and everyone will be able to work at the physical level at which they are comfortable. Please bring water. Snacks and tools will be provided.

Volunteers need to wear closed toe shoes and comfortable work clothes. Gloves, tools and instruction will be provided by Park Ranger Josh Lambdin.

The park is located at 3200 Ruffin Rd. in San Diego. Park at the Taft Middle School parking lot, 9191 Gramercy Dr, San Diego, CA 92123. We hope to see you there!

Yale Day of Service @ Father Joe's Villages

Come join for another Yale Day of Service on 12 May.  We will start bright and early at 6 to provide breakfast meals at Father Joe’s Villages, 1501 Imperial Ave., San Diego, CA 92101.   Father Joe’s  prepares up to 3,000 meals daily while caring for nearly 1,800 individuals, including over 780 children and over 200 military veterans.   We will be finished by 9 am.
