Yale Book Award

• Each year in May, the Yale Club of San Diego presents the Yale Book Award to outstanding juniors attending public and private high schools in San Diego.

Recipients are selected by participating schools based on the following criteria:

• The student must be in the current Junior Class,
• The student should be in the top 2-3 % of the class,
• The student should have leadership skills,
• The student should be an “All-American,” demonstrating outstanding personal character and intellectual promise.

The schools currently participating in the 2025 program are: 

• Academy of Our Lady of Peace
• Canyon Hills High
• Coronado High 
• Del Norte High 
• High Bluff Academy
• High Tech High
• High Tech High Chula Vista
• High Tech High Mesa
• San Diego School for the Creative Performing Arts
• Point Loma High
• Scripps Ranch HS
• St. Augustine
• The Bishop's School
• The Preuss School
