From Dwight Hall’s student-led community based programs to the highest levels of government service, Yale alumni have risen to the challenge to "change the world," and indeed many are doing just that as volunteers for Yale, in their professional lives in the nonprofit sector, by serving on boards of foundations or as elected officials, or by giving of their intellect and creative energy to volunteer community projects.
Since 2020, the Yale Day of Service has transitioned to the Yale Year of Service with the understanding that a lot more flexibility and creativity will be demanded from event organizers as we face the challenges of navigating our post-pandemic world. With this in mind, the Yale Club of San Diego has partnered with a single, local organization - The Mission Continues (TMC) - in an effort to foster a deeper and more meaningful relationship between our alumni and the veteran community TMC serves.
Join us for one event or join us for them all as we seek to support the on-going mission to empower veterans to continue their service and connect veterans with under-resourced communities to improve educational resources, tackle food insecurity, foster neighborhood identity, and more.
